Hi, my name is Sara and if you know me you know my animals, along with every single animal I’ve come in contact with, I love. I was born to save, help, nurture animals. They are all my passion.
Now, I am finding myself desperately needing help. As embarrassed as I am to go as far as having to do a Go Fund me, I’m also not because I’ll do whatever it takes to help my dog, Tyson.
Tyson will be 11 in April and was brought to me from Arkansas as an 8 week old, unwanted pit bull and we have shared every life experience together. He’s gone from moving multiple times to gaining cat and human siblings. He’s been through the most challenging and darkest times of my life with me. This dog has saved me just as much as I saved him.
Tyson has never missed a yearly physical. He’s been healthy ( other than some extra weight) his entire life, up until a few months ago when he pulled out his back leg.
I made an appointment with his veterinarian to take X-rays that came back he had a cranial cruciate injury and would need surgery to repair.
Fast forward to yesterday after the long awaited 2 month appointment for him to be seen by a specialist, he in fact needs TPLO surgery to correct this, otherwise known as an ACL repair in humans. I have attached all the paperwork and estimate for this. This doesn’t include the 1200$ I have spent the last 2.5 months on blood work, X-rays, office visits and 2 different medications he’s been on to help with pain/nerve blocking.
Yes, Tyson is almost 11, but he’s got so much life left in him and neither myself, kids , or his inseparable best cat friend are ready for him to leave our pack. He’s had senior blood work done, all the doctors that he’s met have said he’s a qualified candidate and are confident this will be successful.
I have scraped up what I can between cards and cash. I am hoping with the power of Facebook I can raise the rest towards his surgery that he needs within the next month.
Please share, send healing vibes, donate, pray, whatever you can do for my old man. Thank you!
