Hello, my name is Ricardo Troche, also known as Rica and Ricky. I'm a 45-year-old male who was born and raised in Summit, IL. I am a proud and single dad of two growing and beautiful girls who are my world and purpose for living.

Unfortunately, the truth must come to light. I would like to take this difficult time and opportunity to let everyone know that since December 2024, I have been diagnosed with a severe disease called Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS). HS is a condition that causes small, painful lumps to form under the skin. Within hours, these masses grow at a fast rate, eventually reaching the size of gumballs, golf balls, or even baseballs. This is a life-altering disease that now dictates my life.

These lumps usually develop in areas where skin rubs together, but with it being severe, I have them in areas that are uncommon according to my doctors and dermatologist. These lumps heal slowly, recur, and can lead to tunnels under the skin and scarring, which I have been experiencing over many years. This disease ultimately is a lifelong condition with no cure, but it is non-contagious and is found to be hereditary. HS is also known to be cancerous if the disease goes untreated.

With that being said, I have been receiving treatment since my diagnosis, but this disease hasn't allowed me to return to work or live a normal life by any means. My goal is to hopefully get back to somewhat normal, get back to work, provide for my kids as I was before my diagnosis, and just live without the crucial pain. To be completely honest, I just want to laugh and enjoy life again as before.

Now here's the hard part... I apologize for this. Sincerely. I'm never one to ask for help because I feel embarrassed, but family and friends, I'm in need of major help because without working it has been difficult to stay on top of bills, mortgage, doctor and medicinal costs, groceries, etc. If anyone hears my cries and prayers, I greatly appreciate it. Anything and everything helps. I'm nobody to ask for favors, so prayers would help me as well.
