Support for Raphael Avila’s Memorial and Family

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of Raphael Avila. He was someone who gave his support to those around him in need, and now it’s our turn to support Raphael and express how much he was loved. This gofundme is being organized on behalf of Raphael’s wife, Sarah. All funds raised will be donated to his family to help alleviate memorial costs. Your support of any amount is much appreciated, as are positive comments for his family to remember his connections with others. Raphael is survived by his wife, daughter (6), son (24), mother, father, and brother.

Nothing could prepare us for the news that would shake the numerous Bay Area communities that Raphael served, loved, and embraced. Raphael wore many titles with pride, with his family and friends at the focus. Whether you knew him as the family man, DJ, accountant or chef, you knew he loved life and sharing his love with others.

We hope Raphael knew that he was loved just as much as he extended love to others, and that although our healing will be day-by-day, some days moving forward and others backward, the power of our love will never falter.
