Keep Ann In Her Home This Christmas

My Mom, Ann, has always been there for my family, the community, and has rescued and cared for many animals over the years. As a single mom she volunteered at the women’s refuge, and was always at school helping out in mine and my sister's classes and cooking for the teachers. Eventually she went on to open The Savory Spoon, a restaurant that had a "pay what you can" Community Mondays to help lend a hand to those going through tough times. She continued her commitment to helping the community throughout her battle with cancer. Unfortunately, she recently had to close the restaurant and has fallen on hard times and is about to lose her home... This is the home my sister and I grew up in, it was built in the 70's by my mom's uncle & her father and is full of family projects and memories. She's not the type to ask for help, in fact she'd rather I not do this, but as I think of all she's taught me through the years about what it means to be a good person, and all the lives she's touched, I know that everyone needs a hand sometimes.
