Support For Jamie And Family

On Monday December 4th, 2017, Jamie Graham, a beloved mother, wife, and friend suffered a devastating asthma attack that led to cardiac arrest, and a current comatose state in the ICU. The morning started as a normal day, the kids were getting ready for school, her husband Brent had left for work, and she had started her coffee. Unfortunately, she suffered a severe asthma attack while getting ready. She had her son Hayden call Brent and tell him to turn around because she wasn't breathing very good around 6:30am. Brent turned around and headed home to find Jamie on the floor not breathing and her daughter on the phone with 911. He immediately started CPR which lasted for 10 minutes until the EMT's arrived and took over. The hospital was able to get a pulse back. Sadly within 1.5 hours she crashed again. The hospital staff performed CPR for 35 minutes and pronounced her dead when their efforts were unable to get her heart started again. 15 minutes later, her heart started beating on it's own due to the pressure from her own lungs not being able to exhale the air out, which choked the heart out. While they were cleaning her up, her lungs were finally able to let enough air out for the heart to start beating again. Her body for the most part has remained stable since then but it's too early to know how much damage her brain has sustained. She has overcome huge obstacles to get to where she is now, but she needs more time. She is currently in the ICU in a coma where her loving husband sits by her side everyday playing her her favorite music along with playing a never ending YouTube video of bowling pins crashing, which was her passion. She has a wonderful family and group of friends that loves her and is praying for a miracle.Jamie is a beautiful soul inside and out. She loved life, was active in the community coaching cheerleading for years, and participated in many youth fundraisers. She doted on her kids; Emily and Hayden who both attend Martinsburg South Middle School and was nonstop busy with their many extracurricular activities. She was an avid bowler and would spend as much time as she could trying to bowl more strikes than her husband Brent, which she was usually successful at. She had a great sense of humor and if you had the pleasure of being around her then you surely have laughed at one of her corny jokes. Jamie truly brightened the lives of everyone that knows her.Due to her unfortunate circumstances, her husband has to stay home and look after the children and her medical care. His recent tenure with the company he works for, he is only entitled to time off, which is unpaid. Within 2 weeks, their sole income will be her 60% disability pay until he is able to return to work. He will be unable to return to work until they can come up with some kind of new normal. I felt this would be the best way to help and support them through this trying time as the financial burden will be unbearable and that's the last thing he needs to have on his mind.
