Chris Schleyer Is Schlayin’ Cancer

On Monday, December 4, 2017 we found out that Chris has Papillary Thyroid Cancer. BOOO!!! The good news is that he has an excellent ENT Doctor, but due to the fact that we have an HMO, we are in the midst of a surgeon referral/scheduling nightmare. On January 1 we will be switching from one HMO to another as Blue Cross Blue Shield is pulling out of Nevada and the only choices we have are crappy or crappier. Adding insult to injury with the new HMO our out of pocket expenses are expected to quadruple. YAY!! This campaign was started to assist in paying for medical and living expenses while he kicks cancer in the butt. The dollar amount is what the estimated cost is to cut, fry and beat this disease. Any remaining balance will be donated to Thyroid cancer research. Thank you everyone and stay tuned for updates on treatment!
