Support Richard's Journey to a New Home After Helene
Donation protected
Meet Richard: a US Navy veteran, father of two, jet engine aviation machinist, and great friend to all he encounters.
The morning of September 27th, Hurricane Helene left Western North Carolina in a devastated state. Small mountain towns of Haywood County were impacted greatly by the disastrous flooding and winds the hurricane brought.
Richard lived in Clyde, North Carolina, where flood waters rose, covering the main town roads, and destroyed his apartment home. He was able to remain safe and unharmed; however, the only belongings without damage were clothing and his vehicle. Currently, Richard has been displaced from his home, his shelter, his comfort, and is in a temporary living situation. He is in search of a new place to call home and start over, but has a long way to go.
Not only is Richard a hard-working, driven, talented machinist, but he is also loved by many and makes a huge impact wherever he goes. He is humble and does not expect anything from anyone, but now he is in a time of need.
Please consider making a donation towards Richard’s future, to be used for temporary housing expenses, future housing expenses, current inconveniences, future furniture, meals, etc.
Note: Richard’s friend and former coworker, Maddie, is organizing this fundraiser on his behalf, and all funds will be distributed to Richard ONLY via GoFundMe.
