This site has been established to benefit the Chandler Family - Mike, Kelli, Breanna, and Ares - as they embark on this journey - a journey that involves cancer, and will cause their lives to change forever.
I recall the text from August 8th - "today was a very bad, bad day". I knew at that moment that Mike's cancer had returned (or possibly never left) and that my dear friend Kelli would be going through yet another challenge in life. 'Challenge' is an understatement for sure as life has been brutally unfair over the past several years. She grieved with her BFF Suzanne over the loss of Suzanne's infant daughter Cora, then grieved at the loss of Suzanne's own life to Cancer. Soon it was the loss of her mother-in-law, her husband's cancer diagnosis, and then the loss of her dear cousin's own life. Not to mention before all of this, Kelli herself waged her own battle against cancer.
When they learned that Mike's esophageal cancer had metastasized and he was given a few months to live, you can understand why August 8th would be known as the "very bad, bad day" - a day that would change their lives forever.
Kelli and Mike are good people; they are loving, kind people who have given so much of themselves to so many. I am asking that we return that favor.
Mike's time with his family is limited and during this time he will need extra support and care. Kelli will be the one who has to provide that care.
The money raised on this site will be used to help provide financial support to the Chandler family - Mike, Kelli, Bre (8) and Ares (4). Kelli, as a wife, mother, and caregiver, needs to be able to focus on her family. The family needs to focus on continuing to build memories while they still can.
Please help the Chandlers shift their focus to what is most important at this time and let us provide the financial means so they can do just that!
