Help Leah Fight
Donation protected
Leah has cerebral palsy and is fighting for her rights as a disabled person navigating a world built for able bodies. Equipped with a master's degree, she is fighting to live a "normal" independent life while learning to live with an ever-changing body that is slowly losing its mobility.
She experienced housing discrimination when she was kicked out for not shoveling her walkway herself, even after offering to hire someone to do it her landlord insisted she do it herself.
She has been banned from all Green Goods locations, preventing her from getting the medicine she needs, for asking to have equal access to the building. After falling multiple times trying to enter the building and months of asking staff, upper management, and execs to have someone hold the door open or install a disabled access button, they refused. She held a protest for her rights to access and they had her arrested for trespassing.

During #DisabilityPride for July, she organized multiple demonstrations to educate the public on the ADA and how hard it is to get it enforced. During one such demonstration, her apartment caught fire and she is dealing with the fallout. Leah is now living in an unsafe building and is desperate to move.
Despite every hurdle, she continues to fight for her rights and the rights of others to have the most basic access to live in this world not designed for her. You can follow her story on Facebook and Instagram.
We are asking for a donation, $1, $5, or anything you can afford to help Leah fight. With an extremely limited income, the cost of living in this ongoing battle is threatening to leave her without transportation and is making her rights harder to fight for. Let us be an ally and help her keep going. Donate and show Leah she doesn't have to fight alone.
