Hi! I'm Emma Theisen, or Ms. Ty-ty, as some of my students call me. I teach 24 4th graders in Brooklyn, New York in an integrated co-teaching setting with my teaching partner, Ms. Schwager.

The school year has just started, and we are hoping to raise some money to help our class and the other two 4th grade classes go on one field trip this year, as many field trips cost hundreds of dollars per class, even with discounts or scholarships offered for title I schools like ours.

We primarily hope to be able to take our students to the New York Transit Museum. In 4th grade we learn about the geography and history of New York, as well as focus in on the industrial age, and NYC transit is integral to that history - this museum allows them to experience that hands on. https://www.nytransitmuseum.org/learn/schoolgroup/
