For the past four years, our team at NEXGEN Roofing along with local businesses, community leaders, and volunteers have come together to serve the students, teachers, and families of San Jose Elementary School.

San Jose Elementary is one of Jacksonville's most remarkable schools. As a Title I school, it serves a wonderfully diverse student population representing a wide range of cultures, backgrounds, and life experiences. Walk through the halls and you'll find resilient, talented, and bright young people who bring incredible energy and potential to their classrooms every day.

This year, we're excited to host our 4th Annual San Jose Workday & Back-to-School Drive on August 1, 2026.

The day begins with a volunteer workday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, where we'll complete beautification projects across the campus to help create a welcoming environment for students and staff as they prepare for a new school year.

From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, we'll transition into a community celebration and back-to-school event featuring free backpacks, school supplies, dental care resources, student haircuts, family activities, bounce houses, food, and more.

We're raising funds to help provide backpacks, school supplies, student services, event activities, and campus improvement projects. Every dollar donated goes directly toward supporting the children and families of San Jose Elementary and ensuring they start the school year with confidence and the resources they need to succeed.

Over the past three years, this event has brought together more than hundreds of volunteers, over 50 campus improvement projects, and provided thousands of dollars in support to local students. With your help, we can make an even bigger impact this year.

While many families of San Jose face financial challenges, the spirit of the school is defined not by obstacles, but by opportunity. The students, teachers, and staff at San Jose Elementary create a welcoming community built on perseverance, kindness, and hope. Through our annual Workday and Back-to-School Drive, we aim to celebrate these students, support their families, and ensure every child starts the school year feeling confident, prepared, and valued.

We believe that when a community invests in its children, everyone benefits. San Jose Elementary is proof of what is possible when dedicated educators, engaged families, and caring neighbors come together to support the next generation.

Thank you for investing in our community and helping us create a memorable and meaningful start to the school year for the students of San Jose Elementary.
