Welcome to the 4th Annual NICU 92. This year will look slightly different. This years skate will be a 100 mile trek in a collaboration effort to benefit the UCMC NICU and Friends of Tiny Hearts, as well as The Johnny Bonta Hockey Fights Epilepsy Foundation in honor of my late friend Johnny Bonta.
As always, the 92 miles is in honor of the 92 hard days my first born son Kieran spent in the NICU due to preterm labor at 25 weeks and 4 days. The additional 8 miles will honor Johnny and his one of a kind life that was lost far too soon. Johnny was always down for a skate of any length and was one of few who have shared miles with me in the past NICU 92 skates.
Although this is the 4th year for the NICU 92, this is the 1st year for efforts to benefit Johnny and the foundation that has been created in his honor. Any amount of donation or sharing of this fundraiser is greatly appreciated and will go a long way. All money raised will be evenly split between the Friends of Tiny Hearts and Johnny Bonta Hockey Fights Epilepsy Foundation.
Thank you in advance for any support you can provide, and if you're interested to skate some miles be sure to reach out to me!
