4th Annual Iron Butt Challenge in Support of History Flight
Tax deductible
This year's ride will take place on Friday, 25 April 2025. In the last three years, several of us from Combat Veteran's Motorcycle Association, Chapter 27-2 (Virginia), have completed Iron Butt challenges and raised ~$23,000 for History Flight. For this, our 4th year, we will have a personal best 9 riders committed to riding over a thousand miles in less than 24 hours to support this outstanding cause. We will be riding from Stafford, VA, out through the mountains of West Virginia, down into Tennessee, and all the way across the state of NC, finishing in Nags Head in the Outer Banks; a total distance of ~1050 miles. We do this ride each year to raise funds and increase awareness for History Flight's mission of research, location, recovery, and repatriation of the remains of over 81,000 American service members still missing in action (MIA) or deemed unrecoverable from past American conflicts. Please note that every penny donated goes directly to History Flight (aside from admin fees charged by the GoFundMe platform), and that we as participants pay our own travel costs out of pocket.
The CVMA mission essentially boils down to Vets Helping Vets, but we also have a responsibility to those POWs, MIAs, and KIAs who never made it home. On April 25th, 2025, we will ride in remembrance of the fallen and complete the ride of more than 1000 miles in 24 hours or less. We hope that this cause moves you as it does us and that you will take the time to share and donate if you are able. Thank you for your support.
The photo is of the 8 riders that completed the nearly 1100-mile ride from Stafford, VA to Key Largo, FL in 2024. It was an epic journey with memories to last a lifetime and raised approximately $10,400 for History Flight.
