4th Annual Back(pack) to School Charity
Donation protected
For the fourth time in as many years, I'm working towards gathering educational materials for underprivileged children in at-risk areas.
Last year, we were able to gather enough funds to put together 150 backpacks which included—binders, loose-leaf paper, notebooks, pencils, pens, colored pencils, sharpeners, highlighters, a pencil case, hand sanitizer, and more. This year, we hope to add to that list.
The educational materials will be delivered to my alma mater, Zela Davis Elementary School in Hawthorne, Ca, and to a donation drive held at Tibby Elementary School in Compton, Ca—as well as other locations.
Additionally, it is important to mention that 94% of public school teachers in America are forced to spend their own money on school supplies. If the goal is met, all excess funds will be used to gather additional materials to help teachers supply their classrooms with the necessary tools to enhance their students' education.
If you would like to help but cannot assist financially, that is perfectly fine. There is a litany of ways you can lend a hand—share on socials, word of mouth, volunteer to help to put bags together or help with the delivery. All forms of support are welcomed and appreciated.
Donations will remain open until Aug. 7th
Thank you for your help and support. I appreciate it; the kids will too.
