Hearts for Hannah

Hannah Tillotson was born with a heart defect called a double outlet right ventricle with an atretic aortic arch with a VSD and an aberrant right subclavian artery. After three open heart surgeries in her first three months of life, the doctors were able to make a repair that turned her heart into a Glenn with a DKS and a pacemaker. This was a temporary fix and sweet Hannah had to have her fourth open heart surgery on October 19th, 2021. Brandon and Andrea (her parents) spent years researching the best possible options and interviewing amazing surgeons to take care of this next surgery. There were not many surgeons who felt confident with the next surgery. This research led them to Lucile Packard hospital at Stanford University. This surgery would be what is called a one and a half repair, taking her heart from a single ventricle to being able to use one and a half ventricles of her heart! This surgery will greatly improve her quality of life and give her a longer life expectancy! The doctors were able to do what they had hoped and Hannah is currently recovering. Hannah is truly a miracle and such a fighter! As they were taking her into surgery this time she told them that she was going to get her new superhero heart! (-: She brings so much joy, love, energy, laughter and hope to everyone around her. Obviously Brandon and Andrea have incurred many extra expenses (medical, travel, etc) as well as lost wages from all the time off work. They will have to stay in California until Hannah is fully recovered. We are looking to ease any financial burdens so they can concentrate on helping Hannah get better! Anything helps!
