Hurricane Laura Relief Fund
Donation protected
As many of you are aware, this past week Hurricane Laura made landfall as a strong Catagory 4 storm along the coastline of Southwestern Louisiana, bringing with it strong winds and rains that devastated several communities in it's path. This is especially true for the city of Lake Charles, which experienced unparalleled destruction to much of the community. Many homes and businesses were damaged and destroyed, and thousands displaced from their friends and loved ones.
Unfortunately, my sister Marilyn and nephew Jay (along with his nine-year old son Liam) were victims to this destruction as well and lost their mobile home during the storm. They were forced to evacuate Lake Charles and have now have nothing to return home to. I've enclosed photos below to give you all a better idea of what they've lost. The only possessions they still own are what they have on them. They are currently moving from hotel to hotel until such a time comes where it is safe for them to return to what's left of their home and begin the long road to starting over.
I'd like to assist them with monetary donations to help provide them some relief from their mounting financial hardships (hotel fees, food, clothes, gas, cleanup fees and other essential items.) Anything you can donate would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, that's absolutely no issue either. If you would take a moment to share this fundraiser on your social media accounts to add exposure, that would be just as helpful.
Thank you for reading and giving this fundraiser a moment of your time. I hope that we can give my family something to ease some of their pain, and provide them a better foundation as they start over.
Please be safe and God bless each of you!
