You never know what life will throw at you….

Alan has been sick longer then we all know.  After many appointments and tests he has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic  Cancer.   Pancreatic Cancer is one of the hardest cancers  to diagnose.  Alan being the quiet person he is, he did not share his struggles with all of us until he received his official diagnosis.  Alan is self-employed has not been able to work for sometime now.  Jennifer has been trying her best to work as much as she can .  We all know how much  health care cost and the bills are adding up.  We are hoping to raise funds to help with their high deductible and provide Jennifer some relief.
Alan is getting a very strong, aggressive chemotherapy treatment every two weeks that leaves him exhausted and not feeling well.

The Survival Rate According to the American Cancer Society, for all stages of pancreatic cancer combined, the one-year relative Survival Rate is 20%, and the five-year ra
te is just 7%. That means that only 7 out of 100 people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer will survive 5 years!!! This was terrifying news for the entire family. Alan refuses to simply become another statistic, he is committed to this fight .  Alan has a great support system and his Lord and Savior fighting his fight with him.

Alan and Jennifer were friends in high school.  Once Jennifer graduated they started dating in 1983.  Life separated them for some time and then put them back together.  They both feel forever grateful for each and every memory they have together.

Alan has three sons Timothy,  Robert, and stepson Jon Paul . He could not be more proud of them!  Robert is a sophomore in college.  Timothy and Jon Paul are  excelling in their careers.   All of the boys are standing by their dad during his battle.

Daddy's Little Girl .... Alan also has a beautiful daughter Katie.  Katie loves her daddy so much!  Katie got to live with Jennifer and Alan during her high school years.  They created memories that can never be replaced.  Katie is blessed to have a stepmom love her like her own child.  Jennifer's daughter Caitlin is also a part of the team supporting Alan and her Mom.

Together Jennifer and Alan have five children and two daughters in law.  With three of the children in college.  They are so very blessed.  They motivate Alan to fight his cancer.

This is the post from Alan on February 12th sharing this diagnoses.

Well... To all my family and friends. You all mean a lot to me or you wouldn't be on my list. Most of you have seen me through some tough times, and I thank you! Now more than ever I need you. 14 days ago I was sent in for an MRI, 12 days ago I met my oncologist for the first time. 11 days, biopsy and med port. 7 days ago I had my first round of chemo therapy. I've been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer... I'm asking for your prayers. I'm praying for a miracle. I know God is capable of so much more than removing a little cancer from my body, but this is what I'm praying for. I will fight this as my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ gives me strength. Thank you all...

Any donation is greatly appreciated small or big they all add up.  Your generosity will be a blessing to Alan and his family.
We know so many of you are praying ceaselessly for Alan. They will never be able to thank you enough for your  love, encouragement and support during his battle with the hardest cancer to beat.

We are hosting a fundraiser in Rockwall for Alan and Jennifer on March 29th.
