Family Needs Support After Job Loss

I never thought I’d have to do this, and I’m not sure where to begin.

My family is about to lose everything.

My ex husband was fired from his well-paying job today, which means my children will lose their insurance coverage, and I will lose two thirds of my monthly income (child support and mortgage payments covered under our divorce agreement). I have a job, but do not qualify for insurance for another month. I also don’t make enough money to even come close to paying all of the bills. I’ve been working on it ever since he left our family—everything has just happened so quickly, one thing after another. After being a stay-at-home mom to our children for 16 years, I’m essentially clawing my way up from the bottom. My best will not be good enough for this situation, unfortunately.

What I’m looking for is enough to keep us afloat while I figure out next steps. We will almost certainly have to sell our home of 10 years. I’m not sure what happens then. I’m just putting one foot in front of the other, hoping there’s solid ground to land on. If you’re able to help even a little, I would appreciate it eternally. My kids do not deserve to have the rug pulled out from under them again.
