My friend Helen & her husband Craig followed their hearts and opened a restaurant here in San Angelo about a year and a half ago, The Silo House. Helen is a wonderful cook and a great hostess and so this business was a natural!

Just as the business started to hit it's groove, while cooking a few weeks ago, a hot pan of oil fell onto Helen and burned her very badly. She was transported from San Angelo to Lubbock and thankfully has now returned home. The recovery will take a while and the medical bills will be astronomical. Whether the medical bills are $100 or $100,000 dollars it doesn't matter, this is a couple that is following their dream, working as hard as they can while raising 3 children and there is no extra money any extra they had was used to open the restaurant. As you can imagine, as small business owners, they can not afford medical insurance. We are asking that you give what you can , what you feel compelled to give. Whatever it is, it will be very much appreciated by this sweet family.

When faced with a huge medical bill after our own daughter was in the hospital we had sweet friends that were proactive and we were able to pay our portion of that bill in full. This is my hope for Helen & Craig. Please help if you can, helping each other is important, not only for the people in need, but for the giver as well, giving makes us better people.
