Lay my child to rest

This child. My child. One that had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that could make you stop in your tracks.... That kid I couldn't go to the store with, without someone hollering her name and wanting to catch up with her for 20 minutes... The one that could pick up a soccer ball and do pretty much anything with it. Bought her a guitar and she was playing songs on it within 3 months. That kid that had all the potential in the world and more support behind her, than anyone I know, if she chose to use it healthily... The same kid that struggled with anxiety when I got her. Would wake up in a panic attack... Didn't know how to accept love or give it in a healthy form. The kid I taught to twist dreads, for her 16th birthday, so she could start "taking care of myself, you know?"

I got a call... It's with the heaviest heart... Detectives found her deceased today. It's firmly believed that she took her own life.

We all know Da'mya/Kane didn't have the easiest of lives. Childhood or as an adult. I really hope, wherever she is... That she's found peace. And I hope she knows she was loved. Bc I damn sure did love her. And I know a shit ton of people in this town that cared for her deeply.

With Da'mya unexpectedly passing, I do not have the funds to lay my child to rest. Trying to mourn her leaving us and instead I'm freaking out about how I'm going to put her to peace. Any donations would go towards her cremation and funeral services.
