After giving much thought to the topic, I have decided to up my goal amount. The original bill that I received did not reflect my anesthesia fee. I tried to come up with this money on my own but it's proven to be impossible due to school and the little hours I get at work. That's why I'm reaching out to you all again, one last time, for help. I really do not have words for how much you all have helped. Thank you so much. I am trying to raise money to fund the surgery that I need to diagnose and treat my Endometriosis. This disease has been effecting my life since I was ten years old and after being seen by many doctors who told me that my horrendous pain levels are "something I need to outgrow" the issues have escalated to a point at which they cannot be ignored. I have been referred to have the surgery done at St.Joseph's Medical Center in Towson Maryland once I have the financial ability to do so. Since I do not have health insurance and I do not qualify for Medicaid (I'm not a mother or an expecting mother) the entirety of this procedure will have to be paid for out of pocket. I MAY be able to set up a payment plan through the hospital but I will still need to pay a down payment which can range up to $3,000. Unfortunately, the total price of this surgery is unknown due to O.R. time being billed by the hour. (The total surgery time will vary depending on the presence and severity of endometrial tissue growth) Any help is greatly appreciated as this issue has been affecting me for the majority of my life and I am honestly just so sick of constantly being in pain. What used to be mostly just horrible menstrual cramps has become constant back pain, chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal issues and many other symptoms.
