Dino Difante was in a tragic accident while driving home on his Vespa scooter the night of October 10th, 2025, when police believe he swerved to avoid another vehicle. He is currently in a medically induced coma and remains in critical condition. Doctors report that recovery is expected to be gradual and may take between 6 months to a year, with the prognosis remaining uncertain. Dino's reputation as a kind, reasonable, and generous man has made him a beloved member of the community. Many friends, frequent customers, fellow workers on Federal Hill, and most of all, his family are left distraught and in disbelief in the aftermath of this horrific event.

Dino's family grieves his absence, as he is their anchor: a calming and reassuring presence in an often chaotic and uncertain world. He is a patient, loving father and devoted partner. His family misses him terribly and feels lost without him at home. In addition to the grief, Dino's family is also left facing an unforeseen and impending financial crisis; Dino was the provider for his partner, Alexandra, Luca, their two-year-old son, as well as Dino's teenage son. It is unclear how the family will be able to cover medical expenses or the cost of living as Dino recovers and Alexandra cares for him.

Funds given to this cause will go towards medical bills, functional furniture for recovery, medical equipment, medications, respite services, or funds to offset the cost of living for the family as they walk this path together, supporting Dino in his recovery journey.
