My name is Jason Griffin. I am the head coach for the Albany Girls Wrestling Team. We wrestle for Albany High School as well as club wrestling on the national level!

In 2014 our team won the state tournament and solidified ourselves as the best girls wrestling team in the state of California for 2014! In 2015 we finished 4th in the state! We would love to take our kids to the next level, and wrestle at Nationals. Thanks to those who donated last year (2015) we sent 4 girls to nationals! 2 finished with All-American credentials (top 8 in the nation) another finished 1 match away from All-American (top 12 in the nation) and another got to be a part of an amazing experience! All 4 got to participate with the California national team which finished 2nd in the nation as a team! 1 of our girls went on to wrestling in college on a scholarship for Campbellville University!

It can be very expensive for us to travel such distances. Between flights, hotels, tournament entry fees, equipment, and any other expenses. When wrestling outside of the school in the quest for Nationals we do not receive any funding from the school, so it is all about fundraising.

We are looking to raise money, and use these funds to help support our girls who are chasing their goals and dreams of becoming an All-American, a national champion, or even better the world team, or the olympics!!!!
