Joe Kidd's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Joe Kidd was involved in a serious accident while racing in the Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno race on August 18, 2023. After riding for 331 miles, he crashed in a very remote section of the race course. Rescuers took an hour and half to reach him and then another hour and half to get him loaded on an air ambulance for a flight to Renown Trauma center in Reno, NV. He had surgery that night to repair a fractured clavicle (plate and screws) and a fractured femur (full length femoral rod insertion) and spent the next three nights in the hospital.
Joe works as a diesel technician and has been unable to work since the accident. AZ has no state disability so he is currently without any income. He has decent medical insurance, but his out of pocket cap is $6,000, which he will clearly reach. All Joe does is work and ride his dirt bike. He is looking for help to relieve the financial stress of his medical expenses and allow him to fully concentrate on his recovery so that he can walk unassisted and get back to work.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
