Sophie's Cancer Journey

Hi, my name is Sophia Minhas, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart but a hopeful spirit.

In February, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and life changed in an instant. Since then, I’ve completed chemotherapy—a physically and emotionally draining journey. Now, I’m preparing for the next big step: surgery. As that day approaches, I’ve found myself overwhelmed with anxiety and fear. And that fear has finally pushed me to do something I’ve struggled with—ask for help.

The emotional toll has been immense, but so has the financial burden. Between medical care, prescriptions, transportation to appointments, and everyday essentials, the costs have continued to pile up. I’m now at a point where I’m struggling to keep up with rent, utilities, and basic living expenses.

I’ve always tried to stay independent and strong, but this battle has shown me how important it is to lean on others when you need support. I'm asking for your help—not just to make it through surgery and recovery—but to hold on to stability while I fight for my health and my future.
