Tierra's road to recovery
Donation protected
On January 18,2016, Tierra Price was walking on a hiking trail in L.A. with his 4 month old baby. He became short of breath and his heart stopped. A lady on the walking trail started CPR immediately. He then remembers paramedics around him and he was asking where his baby was. Then he went out again. He then remember being in the ambulance and not able to breath, thinking, "This is it. I am only 34 yrs old. Who will take care of my wife and child? The four month old baby boy was transported with him in the ambulance. Then, Next thing he remembers was waking up in ICU with a breathing tube in his mouth. He was then extubated the next day. The neurologist and other doctors marveled at his recovery, calling him a miracle because he had no signs of residual brain damage and they felt he had died. Not knowing why a healthy 34 yr old, would have a major heart attack, the doctors elected to place a defibrillator to kick start his heart in case this would happen again. Tierra developed severe back pain after the defibrillator and again had to go to the Emergency Room. He was sent home. On Feb 6, 2016 , Tierra had a Mini Stroke and was admitted to the hospital again. After many tests, it was discovered that there was a mass in his heart. He was transferred to Cedars-Sinai where he had open heart surgery to remove the heart mass. The Cardiologist told Tierra that it is hard to believe that he is still alive. It was the prayers that has kept him here. Tierra is the sole bread winner for his family and now unable to work for an indefinite time period. He has been a hard worker and good provider for his family, winning Salesman of the Year 2015 as a Toyota Sales and Leasing Consultant. Now, they have insurmountable hospital bills and I am asking for financial help for this family. No matter how large or small your gift , any amount is helpful. We thank you in advance for your prayers and any contributions. God bless you!
