My name is Yoselin Guzman and I am a first-generation student. 

I am a resilient young lady from an under-resourced community that has excelled academically while also fighting homelessness and overcame many more obstacles. 

This fall I will be attending UCLA!  I have been able to accomplish so much and I am super excited to see how my hard work has paid off. I need your help! I would like to make it through college and not put any more financial weight on my parents my mom works in a motel and my dad works two jobs and we still live from paycheck to paycheck. 

I’ll be using your proceeds to buy my books and supplies I will need in my dorm and throughout the school year. I will also pay for my new student orientation.
