Noah Mariotti's Recovery
Donation protected
On December 22, 2022, Noah and his friend, Matthew, were driving home after a gathering. While on the road, the ice storm started and Noah lost control of the car when it hit a patch of ice.
The car hit jersey barrier and then did a 360 and the back of the car hit it as well.
Both boys were in shock, but were able to exit the vehicle. Another car stopped to assist, and the passenger got out. Seconds later, a third car hit all three, and they were thrown across the highway.
All three ended up in the ICU.
Noah has brain trauma and just moved out of ICU.
He is being weened from sedation and has shown responsiveness. He has spoken, and responded to commands to move.
The outlook is positive and every day is an improvement. Because of the extensive injuries, Noah will be out of work for a while. That, coupled with parents needing to take time off to be his caregiver, means loss of wages. Medical and car deductibles will need to be met, new phone, and eventually a car for Noah. (His was totaled and the phone was lost)
He will also need medical equipment (walker, grab bars in bathroom.
Anything contributed will be dispersed to the family.
