Help With Funeral Expenses

On February 22, 2022, our beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend, Rodney Richardson (71) passed away at Auburn Community Hospital after a long illness.

Rodney was an incredibly giving and generous person. His door was always open, and Rod offered friendship and something to eat and drink to everyone who entered. Rodney not only provided food to those who were hungry, but he also provided direction to those who were lost. In addition, he offered friendship to those who needed laughter and companionship.

Unfortunately, Rodney struggled financially. His numerous debts greatly exceed the value of his only asset, the small equity remaining in his home.

He resided his whole life at the house on Chapman Avenue. Rodney was a public servant, and he served on the Auburn School Board and the Auburn Housing Authority Board. He enjoyed time with family and friends, and his home was the site of countless gatherings in celebration and sorrow.

A memorial service will be held at Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street, Auburn, NY, on Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 5-7 p.m.
