As some of you may know, after a 3 week long battle of trying to recover in the hospital from his 4th heart attack, my father in law, David Gorka passed away on April 8th. This was such an unexpected tragedy and many of us are still wrapping our heads around it.
David was many things... an artist, great cook, adventure seeker, hard worker, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin, grandfather, father in law, friend, a kind soul and so much more!
The past couple of days, a lot of us have been sharing our stories and memories we have of David . I remember the first time he met his first grandchild. Abel and I took Sedona to Dave and Claudia’s camper. They were visiting Ohio from New Mexico. He sat on the couch and we handed her to him. She was fussy and crying as babies do. I remember Claudia and I cracking up laughing as he sat awkwardly holding crying Sedona. But while doing so, he had a great big smile on his face. He was so proud to be a grandpa. (You can find this photo below.)
David was beloved by many and his passing has hit hard. Not only are we emotionally distraught, but the unexpected finances have been life changing for Claudia. I am organizing this fundraiser to try and give Claudia some peace of mind financially. The funds donated will go towards David’s cremation, medical bills, and helping her out where David’s income can no longer.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read. Any help will put her mind a little more at ease and will be GREATLY appreciated.
