Help Kris keep RKR and Pay Med Bills!

On the night of September 27th, I was moving fence posts for my new pasture to better serve the horses. Unfortunately, I was doing this alone. 2,500 pounds worth of fence posts rolled and shattered my ankle. I then lost my balance and fell out of the bed of the truck and broke my leg in multiple places. Because of the way that I fell, I also tore all the ligaments holding my foot, ankle, and leg in the proper position.

I am very glad to be alive. I am thankful that my leg and ankle were the only things damaged. However, I do not have insurance. I am out of work until April or May (projected by the doctor). I am a Registered Veterinary Technician and I work primarily with horses. I can't do my job safely, so he has placed me on the "bench." Not being able to work, I risk losing my farm. On the side, I rescue horses. Many of them are special needs. I have taken in the blind, the emaciated, and the aged. Some of these horses cannot be ridden, due to injury or neurological issues.

The farm alone, without bills, is $700 a month. Electric generally runs between $80-$100. The gas bill fluctuates, and can range anywhere from $10-$250 in the colder months.

I am ashamed that I can't work, but the state won't help me, because I don't have children and I am not pregnant. I have to do what I can to keep my personal pets and those that I provide sanctuary for and a home until they find their forever place safe.

Many of you won't know me from Eve, but every dollar helps. If I surpass what I would spend per month in rent and bills, the surplus will go towards feeding the animals and providing them the care they need. (The animals are being fed. Prior to this, I had purchased my winter hay and had a surplus of grain, etc. No one is wanting for food at this time. If my surplus gets low, feed and grain and anything else needed will be the first priority.)

Thank you for reading this. I appreciate you taking your precious time to at east glance it over. I know things are tight for everyone right now, but if you can't contribute, please cross post and share. Thank you.
