Farmer Gregie’s 4Real Pilgrimage to save our fresh food future

My desire to succeed as an Australian dairy farmer in a struggling food industry became the catalyst to uncover the roots of a very real food crisis affecting farmers globally. What began as a personal journey has now become a public mission to educate the masses and find sustainable solutions to secure a future for the next generation of Australian fresh food farmers.
In 2016 I started filming a documentary investigating the disconnect between our city and country folk from a farmer’s perspective. This pilgrimage began in the Australian dairy industry, and very quickly expanded to include all food-based agriculture across Australia. Specifically looking into how this relates to the reality that farmers are going broke and the impact this has and will have, not only on the future of our agricultural industry, but also on the long term mental health and financial ramifications of our farmers going broke.
Filming the Australian leg of the documentary has created more question than answers.
The time has come to look into our overseas farming communities to see first-hand how Agriculture and the farming communities, interconnect with their nearby cities. To identify both the common links, and any solutions we may be able to adapt to our Australian farming crisis.
In the coming year, I plan to continue my pilgrimage across the globe in search of answers to the financial woes of our Australian farmers. I will visit 52 Countries in 52 weeks sharing my journey along the way.
But, I cannot complete this potentially industry saving project, without your help.
