Help elect Hazel de Nortúin in General Election 2024
Donation protected
As a Dublin City Councillor for the last eight years I've had the privilege to work with many community organisations across the Dublin South Central area. I have been fighting to fix the lack of funding and resources for youth services, childcare, housing, community and arts spaces and seirbhísí gaeilge.
We need a dynamic approach to addressing these issues. With this general election we have an opportunity to bring a real, much needed change to how our communities are supported. I want to be part of the fight to bring about that change.
My Record
Since becoming a Councillor I have successfully fought for a dedicated Dublin 10 Domestic Violence Liaison worker and funding for research on local domestic violence services. I established an Irish language playschool and cafe with the aim to support the fight for a Gaelscoil in D10/D12. I was a founding member of BARN — the Ballyfermot Anti-Racist Network.
I have a proven track record of fighting for our community on:
- BusConnects in Ballyfermot
- Promoting the Irish language and for a Gaelscoil for Dublin South Central
- Public and affordable housing, regeneration and proper maintenance of social housing
- Action on gender based violence
- Special needs assessments and services
- Sports, arts and community facilities in Dublin 8
- Funding for youth services
- More green spaces – improving and maintaining parks and playgrounds across our community
- Local accessible employment opportunities
Unlike other candidates, I don't have the backing of a big political machine, or funding from wealthy donors. My campaign is driven by grassroots activists and local people who believe in what I stand for. If we're going to be heard in this election, I'll need your support.
Every little helps. A €5 donation would pay for a social media ad to reach over 1000 people. A €10 donation would pay for a poster. A €20 donation can pay for 500 leaflets.
Please donate what you can, and help get a strong voice for our community elected to the Dáil.
Legal notes: Donations over €100 cannot be made anonymously. Donations must be made by residents of Ireland or Irish citizens (or both) – by donating to this GoFundMe you are confirming that you meet these criteria.
