Hey all — I'm Jen, and as some of you may already know, I was assaulted with a machete on the bus a few days ago. My upper arm was cut to the bone, and I also suffered a wound to my lower back that was thankfully less severe. I lost a lot of blood and had to be taken to the ER by ambulance.

I’ve had multiple CT scans, a large number of stitches, and a lot of medical and legal bureaucracy to deal with. I’m expecting some high medical bills on top of lost wages while I recover and was unable to work normally.

I hate having to ask for help, but right now anything helps! Any donations will go toward medical expenses, recovery costs, transportation, and other related expenses. Even just sharing this will help!

I also want to mention that I have a previously planned Europe trip coming up next month that was all fully saved and paid for before this happened and is nonrefundable.
