Delilah’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Monday morning Delilah took a severe fall, from her fall she was rushed to the emergency room immediately to find her brain was bleeding. Within the hour they transported Delilah and mom via life-flight from Athol hospital to Umass memorial hospital in Worcester, MA where she underwent a surgery to start draining the blood in her brain. Shortly after they decided to send us to Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA for other concerning medical issues. Delilah has now tested positive for flu and a possible infection so she is still currently on a breathing tube and now a feeding tube. We have been going hour by hour as things are constantly changing but we continue to hope for the best for our sweet Delilah. Please remember this is not everything just a simplified version. They continue to run multiple tests daily, if not hourly and are watching Delilah very closely. We feel some peace knowing we are at the best hospital to be in order to get her the help she needs.
We as Delilah’s parents are asking for support from our family and friends during this horrific time to help us support ourselves and Delilah as we focus solely on being here for her. Mom is unable to work due to staying in the hospital, (hospital only allows one parent to spend nights here) and dad is traveling back and forth from Athol to Boston. We are making this page for medical bills, gas for travel and any other expenses that may arise. We are unaware of how long our stay in the hospital will last and how long Delilah will need this emergent treatment.
We thank everyone for their continued support, love and prayers and please remember any help is beyond appreciated. Our main focus is our sweet girl getting better.
