David's Funeral

David Barrientos was a father, uncle, brother, son, husband, and friend to just about everyone he knew. His outgoing personality always made him stand out in a crowd. He grew up in Oakland along with my mom, his sister, and evantually was blessed with two amazing sons that were his pride and joy. He was such a proud dad and a hardworking man that only wanted the best for his boys. Later in life, he got lost along the way and paid his price by serving 8 years in prison. As soon as he was free, he wanted nothing more than to turn his life around and to be there for his boys and that's exactly what he did. This past year, he had been working overtime, spent much needed time bonding with his sons, and was enjoying his time being happy with all of his family and friends. Last night, he fell victim to a drunk driver and was killed in a car accident. He passed almost instantly and left us very suddenly. Our next step, as his family, is trying to piece together his final arrangements and even though we are all struggling coming to terms with this reality we owe it to him to put his soul to rest the right way. His sons are still teens and are in charge of these decisions but need as much help as possible in this dire situation. Any donations would be more than immensely appreciated.
