With broken hearts, we share the unexpected passing of my brother, Jayson Martinez, on Saturday, March 21st.
Our family is devastated and trying to make sense of a loss that feels impossible to put into words. As we face the pain of losing him, we are also trying to come together to give him the beautiful memorial and farewell he deserves.
Jayson had so many gifts — more than we could ever fully list — but perhaps his greatest gift was the way he made people feel. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, confident, and capable. He was truly a light in this world.
He was someone who naturally lifted people up. He had an incredible gift for recognizing the strengths in others and helping them see their own worth. He showed up with kindness, optimism, and a willingness to help anyone who needed him.
One of the most incredible things about Jayson was the way he connected with and motivated kids he coached. He had that rare and beautiful balance of encouragement and accountability — pushing them to be better while making them feel supported every step of the way. He made people feel believed in, cared for, and capable of more.
We are asking for help to cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as the unexpected financial burdens that come with such a sudden loss. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean more than words can say and will help our family honor Jayson with the love and dignity he deserves.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for standing with our family during this heartbreaking time.
