Hi,
Our two girls were injured in a greyhound meet up which sadly ended up in our anxious little girl Georgia (and newly adopted companion Maggie) getting injured.
Georgia was chased and attacked many times with a long gash on her left hand side and multiple bite and deep wounds across her body. Maggie our other greyhound also had a deep cut to her foot, narrowly avoiding surgery. Georgia has now undergone two surgeries for her injuries and check ups and redressing of wounds every two days along with a wide range of medications to help with her night terrors which started after the attacks, pain, inflammation and her anxiety. Maggie’s wounds have needed checkups every second day too. I am glad to say both girls are now on the road to recovery physically and time and love will get Georgia to a better place where we hope one day we can walk her on a lead from our house without fear.
We would welcome support from those who where there that day towards the medical bills which are now over $5k.
Thank you
Karen, David, Georgia and Maggie
