Emergency Surgery

Hi Friends and Family, as many of you know, last Saturday, November 30th, while in Texas for Thanksgiving,  my sister-in-law Tessa had an incident of what they thought was just a piece of food stuck in her throat. For those of you that know Tessa, this was a pretty regular occurrence and something that she had learned to manage. Unfortunately, this time was much more severe that what she had normally experienced and she began to throw up blood.
My brother Justin and the family rushed her to the ER to learn that she had a 3-4 inch tear in her esophagus. She was then rushed to a larger hospital in Corpus Christi where she went in for emergency surgery. The surgery was supposed to be quick, but unfortunately, there were complications requiring the doctors to not only repair and rebuild Tessa's esophagus, but also remove her spleen. Tessa has had additional complications and remains in the ICU in the Corpus Christi hospital. 
Meanwhile, my brother has remained in Texas (of course) to be with his wife which is preventing him from being at his new job (just started 3 weeks ago). Thankfully, his job is being very understanding, however, the doctors are requiring Tessa to stay in the TX hospital for 3-4 weeks for recovery. Obviously this is a huge strain on the family, as my niece and nephew had to fly home to CA by themselves and are relying on each other and others for care while their parents are in TX. To top it all off, my brother and sister-in-law have covered CA insurance which is presenting quite an issue of coverage being they are out of state. I apologize for the long explanation, however, I am hoping that we can raise some support for my brother's family as this road to recovery will be long and expensive. Not to mention Christmas is only  3 weeks away. All of your prayers are appreciated and so needed.
