Service Dog for Daddy

Hey all, this is Lydia and Hannah, We are reaching out to you again in hopes that we can do something really special for dad. As most of you know, he still has a rough go of it physically, so we came up with a plan.

Now, onto the story. These past 2 years of life, post cancer, have been a complete and total roller coaster! While dads health has continued to stay stable, his neuropathy, pain, and anxiety have continued to worsen. Dad has tried every type of doctor, pill, and treatment known to man but none have provided any type of relief. While this has brought us closer as a family, he is worn out and quite discouraged. This brings us to the objective of this GoFundMe. At this point, his doctors recommend getting him an actual service/therapy dog that can provide dad with help in many aspects of his physical and mental health and limitations. Now, this is nothing against Lizzy, we love her to death and she will absolutely remain a part of the family, but at 11 years of age, there is no teaching and training her to see to dads needs.

The unfortunate part of this plan and the doctor recommendation is that it is very expensive. Our hope is that with the help of our friends and family and spreading the word, we can raise the money needed to not only cover the cost of the dog, but also the training and surprise dad without him having to stress and worry about the money and cost of the new service dog.
