Mike McClain Recover Expense Fund

As many of you know my brother Mike McClain received a new kidney last week after being in the waiting list for several years. Once in the recovery room he developed a baseball sized blood clot in his leg, which resulted in having emergency surgery. As opposed to removing it, the clot exploded and went straight into his heart and lungs. His heart stopped and was unresponsive to the C.P.R. for 45 minutes. As Jennifer was rushing to the OR to be forced to decide his fait regarding life support, he took a breath and had a faint pulse. The doctors and nurses were able to revive him, and he has been in stable but critical condition on a ventilator since. He is heavily sedated majority of the time, they lower his pain medication every 4 hours and he becomes very agitated and his blood pressure increases dramatically, he is a fighter and is ready for the ventilator to be out.
I am starting this page to help with the expenses our family is currently and will be facing as Mike begins his long road to recovery. My mother Nancy and his wife Jennifer will remain here in Charleston for the foreseeable future. Thankfully Jenn's daughter Jessie returned home and will be travel back and forth to Myrtle Beach with their son Brayden so he can return to school.
There are no free or cheap places to stay in the area, hotels are running between 80-100 a night and after he is released from the hospital they will have to remain in the local area for 2-3 weeks for daily visits. Any donations will help with the costs here in Charleston and help keep their rent and bills paid in Myrtle Beach.
