Imagine being a 22-year-old college student with goals, dreams, and a lifetime ahead of you, then hearing, after months of not feeling quite right, “You have stage 4 CANCER.”
Meet Alec. Alec is one of my closest friend’s son and was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He played basketball and graduated from HHS and is now attending Nashville State in pursuant of a degree in Business.
As if life wasn’t tough enough for a young adult working full-time to pay bills, and his way through college, he was hit with this devastating disease. As we all can imagine, his medical bills are piling high already and he’s only 3 weeks into his 6 months (at least) of chemotherapy treatments. Although he has accepted the challenge of defeating cancer, he did not anticipate just how extreme the exhaustion, physical illness, emotional, and financial toll cancer would take.
Chemo has been rough. Alec has only been able to work half as much as he was before. Aside from medical bills, groceries for clean eating are expensive, so are the over-the counter products to combat the side-affects of the chemo.
The funds collected here will be entirely dedicated to keeping Alec on his feet during this challenging time. It will enable him to focus on fighting his battle without the added pressures of financial worries.
If you are like me, you have your own struggles, but any amount helps...we are incredibly grateful for monetary contributions as well as prayers and healing thoughts. Alec is a wonderful person who has a great deal to offer his community and this world. Please consider helping him out and keeping him in your heart.
