Welcome to Pattie's CaringBridge site.
On Halloween night, Mom was admitted to the ER for flu-like symptoms. Since then, she's been admitted to the ICU and had an emergency surgery. It'll be a long recovery, but all seems to be going well now.
While she's in the hospital, we're making some fairly major changes to her house to ensure that it is a safe, healthy, comfortable place to continue her recovery. Goals include:
New floors (carpets are the enemy)
New laundry (getting to the basement with a walker: unlikely)
New bed (recovery wants comfort)
