Look at that sweet face and those eyes...meet Garbanzo, he is one of the over 2,500 amazing animals we work to find homes for each year at Michelson Found Animals Foundation. But in Garbanzo's case, he's got a couple special attributes: He's about 90% blind and a little wobbly on his legs, making him designated as special needs. But he’ll still dance his way right into your heart when you meet him. (You can apply to adopt Garbanzo here! ) We know Garbanzo is tops, but like a lot of special needs animals, he's had trouble getting adopted at our Adopt & Shop location because of his designation.
Lucky for us (and Garbanzo!), Rocky Kanaka came to the rescue, teaching Garbanzo the skills he needs to thrive, plus the best day of his life! To read more about Garbanzo and Rocky, please check out their page.
With help from you and our partner, Rocky, we're raising money to help Garbanzo and so many others like him. Your donation will provide lifesaving medical treatment, shelter, a warm bed, food and lots of love to animals that are designated as special needs.

Michelson Found Animals Adopt & Shop is a unique store with a mission – Saving Pets. Enriching Lives. We offer pet adoptions, pet supplies, grooming and dog daycare, all in one location. All of our pets come from local shelters and as a nonprofit, every dollar you spend goes back into programs to save more pets. Our goal is to help reduce pets being euthanized in shelters, offering a way for customers to be a part of our mission. Join us in making a difference for pets and pet owners!

We love pets, but they aren't the best arbiters for their own cause. Don't worry, they're not offended by that. They give us endless love, compassion, loyalty, and cuddles. It's our end of the bargain to give them food, shelter, protection, and endless tummy rubs. That's why it's our mission to put pets in homes and keep them there – because all pets are meant to be with good people.
