Our vet bill for April is over 8000 euros.

We simply do not have the money to pay it.

So far this year we have rescued many new animals including 20 puppies, a disabled dog, several dumped hunting dogs and even a baby goat.

The adult dogs we take usually need sterilising and in the case of females this is always urgent. The puppies need treatments before coming to the shelter, then expensive puppy food and a series of vaccinations. (9 of the puppies came with giardia which has required repeated treatments to resolve).

Sadly, several of the puppies have come to us very unwell and needed long stays at the vet clinic. (Artan and Mishka especially).

In addition, at this time of the year we have the dogs' parasite prevention treatments and a large percentage of the annual vaccinations become due.

We have also had some unexpected and costly health issues amongst some of our existing dogs. Hence this unprecedentedly large bill.

We try to help those animals who are most vulnerable but it comes at a price.
