This GoFundMe has been created by close friends to help Stacey Morrison with the overwhelming medical expenses and high insurance deductibles she is facing. Stacey is scheduled to undergo a serious 360-degree lumbar fusion surgery after experiencing complications and failure from previous back surgeries.

A Dallas, Texas native who recently moved to Granbury, Texas, Stacey is no stranger to major medical procedures and the high medical costs. Over the past five years, she has endured three cervical spine surgeries and two back surgeries. This upcoming procedure is especially complex, requiring incisions in both the abdomen and the back, with an estimated recovery time of 6 to 12 months. During this time, Stacey will be unable to work and will be caring for their special-needs son at home.

Despite her own health challenges, Stacey has always put others first. In January 2020, she selflessly donated one of her kidneys to a man she barely knew who is a popular local entertainer, Domingo Carvajal. Stacey had heard that he was on dialysis and needed a kidney. Domingo was surprised by her offer but now knows that she was an "Angel Sent from Heaven" that saved his life. A gift he is grateful for each and every single day.

Stacey’s generous spirit extends to all areas of her life. She deeply loves animals and shares her home with her long-haired Dachshund, Izzy, and two cats, Aurora and Paisley. While living briefly in Alabama, due to a family job transfer, she was thrilled having a chicken house and lovingly shared fresh eggs with coworkers and friends.

Stacey is an active and passionate person with many interests, including playing in a Dart League at Dallas VFW, collecting antique quilts, crocheting, rescuing animals, and growing vegetables in her garden. She is currently enrolled in college courses for Medical Coding, where she has earned a place on the Dean’s List, and she hopes to continue her studies during her recovery.

Stacey will be unable to return to work for at least six months, making this time both physically and financially challenging.
