Lilly is an amazing 5-year-old with an ultra-rare genetic disorder. She’s missing part of her 12th chromosome, 12p13.32.
Due to this deletion, she has the following diagnoses: global developmental delay, hypotonia, hypertonia, hypermobility, PICA, elopement danger, emotional regulation disorders, suspected absence seizures, and the need to be on a high-calorie, whole nutrition formula.
We are hoping to raise enough money to be able to get her a service dog. The service dog's tasks would be to help curtail elopement, provide deep pressure therapy, and alert to emotional dysregulation episodes.
We have found an amazing trainer in Olean, NY, Stephen Phillips, aka The Service Dog Guy, and would be boarding the dog with him throughout the training.
We are seeking $20,000 to help make this life-changing dream a reality.
Cost Breakdown:
The cost of training the dog is $15,000
The cost of the dog (rescued from a shelter) $350
The vet costs annually $1,000
Dog food annually $2,000
Large dog supplies ~ $300
Service dog mortality insurance $800 annually
Transportation from Penfield to Olean multiple times ~ $700
Service dog equipment - $400
