Our good friend, B McFarland, is having top surgery and we are raising funds to make it happen.

After navigating the healthcare system and advocating for themself, they have booked in a date for November, yay :) However, gender affirming surgeries are not covered by public health insurance in Australia and without listing them all, private healthcare only covers a few of the costs.

We’re sharing this fundraiser because the date is coming up quickly and the surgery requires up-front payment. Our goal is to raise enough to cover the cost of surgery and support B, who is a self-employed farmer and therefore won’t have an income during their recovery. B is an integral part of our community — an exceptional friend and person. Like anyone seeking gender-affirming care, they deserve to approach this exciting moment in their life without the stress and pressure of added financial burden.
