Tumaini, an orphanage in Kenya and home to over 125 children has experienced a devastating fire. The fire was caused by an electrical malfunction. The losses are great! These children (ages 5-17) are AIDS orphans now rescued and living in a wonderful loving, caring environment…finally free from the streets, slums and living off garbage. This home is making an enormous difference in the lives of these kids, giving them an education to better their future and the world around them. It has been in operation about 10 years and is extremely well managed. The boy’s dorms were heavily damaged and are now unlivable. The girl’s dorms and kitchen were not affected. But the girl’s dorms are overloaded with 2 girls per bed. The boys have lost everything except the clothes they had on. Emergency requests have been made for mattresses, bedding, clothes, undergarments, shoes, school books, school supplies. The building will have to be rebuilt and it is cold and raining in this village about 4 ½ hours from Nairobi. Tumaini means “hope” in Swahili. Please help these once forgotten children to hold onto the hope they had finally found in Tumaini……all monies donated will go DIRECTLY to the children and their needs. Your donations can be sent to the address in Marietta, GA at the end of the video or to the following address: International Leadership Institute (ILI), Joy Griffin, P.O. Box 1005, Carrollton, GA 30112. Please designate your check to: Operation Beautiful Feet. Or on this go fund me page....Thank you so much for caring for those in desperate need ! May God bless you always....
