Giving back to a Giver

Family and friends,

Priscilla Williams is a person passionate about children and life.

In her work as a teacher, Priscilla has positively influenced the lives of so many young children. For years, she’s poured her energy into creating learning environments where every single child in the classroom could thrive and feel safe, encouraged and loved. She has taught two-year-olds and Junior Kindergarten and swimming to all at Miss Bloomingdale’s for several years. From potty training to teaching reading, and learning to be water-safe and swim beautifully, she always works with nurturing love and positivity. Her classrooms are always joyful learning environments.

Priscilla brings this same love and energy to her role as a mom to her amazing daughter, Alia. As a single mom, she’s always fought to give Alia a great life as well.

Priscilla is a fighter and a giver.

And now, it’s time we give this energy and love back to her, and that we join her in the fight.

Priscilla was recently diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma cancer that requires multiple rounds of chemotherapy. In addition, her doctors are using an mRNA medication that is revolutionizing cancer treatment and have told Priscilla it is curable. Because she is stage 3 and has been in a lot of pain, her team is managing her case aggressively.

For anyone who has dealt with this dreadful disease, you know it goes well beyond just focusing on beating cancer and getting better. It comes with expenses you never expected; life-saving scans and treatments not covered by insurance cost of travel to and from your most trusted doctors and being a single mom raising a child while possibly not being able to work for an extended period.

We need to show up for Priscilla in the same way she showed up for children.

It takes a village to fight cancer and we want to make sure Priscilla knows she’s not alone.
